U. S. AMBASSADORS FUND FOR CULTURAL PRESERVATION
CALL FOR PROPOSALS:  LARGE GRANTS PROGRAM

The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv is pleased to announce a call for proposals for the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) Large Grants Program.

The competition will take place in two rounds.  The deadline for Round 1 applications is January 23, 2015.

The AFCP Large Grants Program supports the preservation of major ancient archaeological sites, historic buildings and monuments, and museum collections which possess exceptional value in illustrating or interpreting the heritage of the host country or the surrounding region.

The AFCP will accept proposals for projects valued from $500,000 to $900,000.

Since 2001, the U. S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation has provided financial support to more than 800 cultural preservation projects in over 120 countries. The more than $46 million invested in these projects demonstrate U.S. respect for the cultural heritage of other nations.  Since 2001, the AFCP has provided nearly $500,000 to support 12 projects in Ukraine.
