Operational hours of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv (and associated offices/sections) are Monday–Friday,  8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Consular services are by appointment only.

The Embassy is closed to the public on weekends and U.S. and Ukrainian Holidays.

Consular Section public hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.  and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment only. Routine ACS services, including passports, registering the birth of a child, and notary services, are scheduled through an online appointment system only.

NOTE: The Consular Section is prepared to deal with emergencies at any time every day of the week.  Emergencies include, but are not limited to: arrest, serious illness, and death of a U.S. citizen.

  • The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv is unable to provide DV case numbers to the applicants. If your DV interview appointment date has been scheduled by the Kentucky Consular Center, the Embassy can inform you of it upon your request. If you suspect that you’ve been defrauded or scammed, or are aware that someone is attempting to defraud the U.S. Government, please report this to the U.S. Consular Section in Kyiv at Please note, that such inquiries are NOT ACCEPTED BY TELEPHONE


  • The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv can provide the service of fingerprints collection in the following cases:
    -  Adoption;
    -  U.S. military personnel submitting the Form N-400 (Application for Naturalization) to USCIS;
    -  U.S. police checks for U.S. citizens.
