2010-2011 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Eurasia and Central Asia

The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine announces the launch of the 2010-2011 Global Undergraduate (UGRAD) Exchange Program in Eurasia and Central Asia. The Global UGRAD program provides opportunities for current first, second, and third year undergraduate students to spend one academic year of non-degree study in a U.S. university or community college. Participants are selected through an open, merit-based competition. Fluent English is required.

Approved fields of study for the program are: Accounting; Agriculture; American Studies; Anthropology; Biology; Business; Chemistry; Computer science; Criminal Justice; Economics; Education; Engineering; Environmental Management; Geology; Hospitality Management; International Relations; Journalism; Law; Mass Communications; Physics; Political Science; Psychology; Sociology; and Urban Planning. Other fields of study may be considered.

Applicants can submit paper copies or use the electronic submission format to apply.

Legislative Fellow Program

Legislative Fellow Program (LFP) is the US Department of State funded program, coordinated by National Conference of State Legislatures and American Councils for International Education which is the official administrator of LFP in Ukraine.

Young Ukrainian professionals (age 25-35) will have a firsthand opportunity to learn the US legislative system, federalism, and its basics, checks and balances system, civic society role in building a strong democracy.

Professional 4 weeks fellowship will take place at the US state legislatures. LFP is primarily focused on professionals working at state and local government, with the BA and MA degrees in international law, political science, international relations and state administration. Fluency in English is required.
