Call Center Questions and Answers
Why did you launch a call center?
The new service will provide additional information to the public over the telephone so that they can come better prepared for their visa interview.
The call center will accurately disseminate information about U.S. visas and handle all appointment scheduling for Nonimmigrant visas and some Immigrant visas (such as fiance and follow-to-join visas).
What is the call Centers Number? What are the hours of operation?
The call center hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00 to 18:00, Kyiv local time. The Ukraine call center telephone number is 044-207-7071. If calling from the United States, the telephone number is 1-888-889-3780.
Please note that there may be a small pause between the dialing of the number and the actual connection to the infoline. Please be patient to wait for the connection to be made.
When does the Call Center start operations?
The call center began operations on March 26, 2007 - all nonimmigrant visas must be scheduled through the call center after this date.
How much does it cost?
The fee for the call center is $12, or the UAH equivalent, for eight minutes.
How do I pay?
To pay for this service, you must purchase a personal identification number (PIN). You may purchase a PIN in three ways:
- You can purchase your PIN with a credit card by telephoning the call center.
- You can pay for your PIN through a designated local bank branch of ProCredit Bank from the list below or at any branch of Raiffeisen Bank Aval.

What languages do the Operators Speak?
Callers will speak with live operators who speak Ukrainian, Russian and English. The operators will be able to answer their questions about visas and assist them in scheduling their appointment with the consular section.
How many times can I call the call center?
Callers can telephone the call center multiple times if necessary to have their questions answered and to schedule their appointment, until they use up their eight minutes.
How many people can be scheduled using a single PIN?
Up to five members of the same family can be scheduled using one PIN number.
Can my relatives/friends in the U.S. call the call center to schedule my appointment?
Yes. U.S. relatives or friends of visa applicants can call the call center in the U.S. using a toll-free number 1-888-889-3780 and their credit card to purchase a PIN and schedule an appointment. They will need to provide the following information for the visa applicant: Surname, given names, DOB, passport number and visa type.
